Crack that SECC2 Cartridge open!

Here comes the fun part.  What you need to do is break off the clip bridges so that the heatsink will pull straight off leaving only the stubs from the clip left.  Rest assured that there will be some prying involved here that will make your heart skip a beat or two.  I cannot emphasis enough that when I say break, I mean do so as gently as possible so to avoid any chance of damaging the chip.  

 

Alright!  Here is what you P!!! core looks like.  Sure is a thin rascal and the chip sure is scrungy from the thermal paste Intel squirted on there.  With the back cover off, you just lost 5 or so degrees off your CPU temperature - this is a good thing.
