Albatron GeForce 6600 - 512

Overclocking

So far, we haven't seen much in the way of raw performance from the Albatron 6600 - 512.  Dropping in Coolbits we jacked up the core and memory speed to the point of artifacts and anomalies then took one step back to see if we could force some more performance out of this card.  Our base core and memory speed starting point was 325/500MHz.  Our final max stable overclock almost knocked me out of my chair I was so shocked - a wide open 506/604 MHz for the core and memory respectively.  That's a whopping 56% overclock on the core and a 17% gain on the memory.

Loading up Battlefield 2 again on the same Zatar Wetlands map and settings as before we took the overclocked Albatron 6600 - 512 out for another spin.

What a fantastic gain that was.  It is unfortunate that even with everything jacked up to the breaking point the 6600 GT remained just out of reach.  Fantastic overclock though.
