Albatron GeForce 7800 GTX

Doom 3

Testing with Doom 3, we recorded our gameplay under the 'High' setting familiar to you all at 1600 resolution.  The Site 3: Analysis Facility map was played.  Again, you can see the in game 60 frame per second cap come into play.  Impressive none the less.

Half Life 2

Unlike Doom 3 and Quake 4, Half Life 2 does not have an in game frame cap so we get to see the Albatron 7800 GTX really stretch its legs.  All settings were set to max with FSAA and AF both maxed out at 1600 resolution within the Coast Highway level.  Action was kept moving with the sand rail zipping and fragging down the coast road without pause.

Even the most intense segment recorded under max settings still tagged in at 32 FPS.

Far Cry

Far Cry is one of Brian's and my favorite games.  As we have repeatedly done, we opened up the console and maxed everything out and set the resolution to 1600.  Our FRAPS recorded segment was taken in the Training level at the beginning of the carrier battle sequence.

As you can see, the flow of the action only took our frame rates to the sub 30 level once.  As before, I could not perceive when this occurred and wasn't even aware of anything until I reviewed the FRAPS log.
