Albatron GeForce FX 5700P Turbo Manufacturer: Albatron by Dean Barker (5/25/2004)
Introduction The midrange graphics market is where the competition has moved. Yes, I know NVidia and ATi are fighting hard for the top slot but what puts money in their respective pockets are the performance products that don't break the bank. Case in point; the FX5900/5950 Ultra cards were fantastic products but the one that got everyone excited was the non-Ultra FX5900. Priced at $200, performance fantasies could be had without cutting out a meal every day for a few months to pay the bill. Albatron has moved this exact thinking over to the midrange GeForce, the FX5700. Choosing DDR over DDR II they have cut costs significantly. That and a lower clock speed on the core have produced the Albatron GeForce FX5700P Turbo and its $140 street price. Today, we take Albatron's new board out for a spin to see how it stacks up. First up, let's have some specs. Specifications • Powered by NVidia GeForce FX 5700
GPU What you get The retail Albatron FX5700P Turbo comes with all the extras you would expect.
