Albatron GeForce FX 5700P Turbo

Code Creatures is a synthetic benchmark but we decided to keep it in our mix as it will bring most cards to their knees.  We are including it here simply from the standpoint that is shows raw horsepower.

AquaMark v3 is another synthetic bench but it is included due to it utilizing DirectX 9.  While not an end all be all measure, it does give us another piece of the pie.

Eye Candy

We found the image quality of the Albatron card to be excellent.  Jacking the FSAA and AF all the way to 8x each we see that they take quite a toll on both 5700s we have here.  None of these scores I would tolerate as playable in game play.  Keep in mind however, that the ATi card maxes out its FSAA and AF at different levels.  Halving the FSAA and AF to 4x is more realistic for the vast majority of us.  Those folks demanding max settings all the time, need to be looking at the 9800XT and FX9750 or their respective successors over the mid range cards anyway.  We choose to graph the max settings so you can extrapolate and still be in the ball park, this review to some of the other VGA cards we have looked at provided the driver differences are not monstrous.
