by Brian Tiller (7/26/2004)

Introduction

A little more than two months ago, ATi introduced their new VPU and last month with Intel's new chipset releases we saw the introduction of the long awaited PCI Express. With both ATi and nVidia doing the dueling for the top dawg spot, we have seen very little from either of them concerning the budget, or budget gamer cards in either AGP or PCI Express flavor. Hightech Information System changes that. Though H.I.S has been in operation for more than 16 years, in the past year they have really taken the VGA enthusiast market by storm. Producing a full range of ATi based graphics cards, they never forget to add their own little touch. Today, we get the chance to rev up their mid-range gamers card, the X600XT. And this isn't just any old X600XT either. We have the VIVO Limited Edition here in the house. And if you're wondering what the difference is, just stay tuned and follow along.
