Inno3D GeForce 7600 GST Next up is Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Our frame rates here were taken from the NFS World Loop map. Screen resolution was set to 1024 x 768 with all other settings (except V-Synch) set to max. Just as with Battlefield 2, NFS:MW shows us that GS card on steroids runs right on the heals of the high end competition from the red team camp. Most impressive.
Half Life 2 is next. Testing here was done in the Route Kanal area with settings all set to high, FSAA at 4x, Anisotropic Filtering at 8x with resolution again set to 1024 x 768. Half Life 2 is a bit more difficult to repeat gameplay runs through as you can see below but you do get a basic feel of the card being able to hold its own. At no time during gameplay did we visibly notice any shutter or dropping of frames.
Our last graph is from Quake 4 which was recorded in the MCC Landing Area. Settings were kicked up to high with FSAA at 4x and resolution to 1024 x 768. Quake 4 has an in game frame limit of 60 fps as you can see in the graph below. From the graphed frame rates recorded during play we see the 30 fps line broken but within the game I never perceived any thing resembling a stumble.
