Inno3D GeForce 8600 GTS iChill

Let's go again but shift from FDL to ODL (Object Dynamic Lighting.)

Minimum 8600 GTS iChill - 9  /  Minimum 7900 GS iChill - 10
Maximum 8600 GTS
iChill - 23  /  Maximum 7900 GS iChill - 43
Average 8600 GTS
iChill - 16  /  Average 7900 GS iChill - 23

Not much better but these scores are to give you an idea of the card's top performance at the point of its stroking out.  Our last STALKER run will be at playable levels.  These levels for our test bed are with screen resolution set to 1024 x 768 and with Object Dynamic Lighting selected.

Minimum 8600 GTS iChill - 29  /  Minimum 7900 GS iChill - 25
Maximum 8600 GTS
iChill - 97  /  Maximum 7900 GS iChill - 110
Average 8600 GTS
iChill - 56  /  Average 7900 GS iChill - 54

Night and day: A clean smooth experience with a surprisingly small advantage showing up with the 8600 GTS iChill.

Image Quality

Image quality is a subjective measure to a very large degree.  With this said we are not going to tell you what looks good to your eyes but rather show you a screen shot and let you be the judge.  Below is an everything we got shot at 1600 x 1200 with FSAA maxed within NFS: Most Wanted.  Be sure to look at the object edges within the rain drop effects.
