Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT Overclocked Edition Image Quality As we have done in the past, rather than tell you how good something looks, I prefer to show you a screen shot with all the eye candy on and let you decide for yourself. Below is shot from NFS: Pro Street with all settings tapped to include FSAA at 1600 resolution. Experience differs from user to user but this is the best image quality I've every seen. By the way, did you notice that will all the eye candy maxed as well as the FSAA jacked up, the FRAPS frame counter is hitting 62 in this screen shot? That's muscle! Temperature We didn't go all out here but we did record idle GPU temperatures on the factory overclocked GeForce 8800 GT as well as under load. To achieve a nice thoroughly heated 8800 GT I had to sacrifice and play Crysis for a couple of hours (oh, the sacrifices I make) and record the GPU's load temp. At idle, our card ran a warm 55 degrees Celsius with some good frag time taking things up to 76 degrees Celsius. Nothing scary but keeping things cool is a passion many of us share. Nothing a Tt DuOrb wouldn't fix. Overclocking Pushing things back and forth we were able to squeeze a bit more out of the 8800 GT. The core and memory peaked out at a stable 730 and 2090Mhz respectively. While this was nice to see, we didn't find any benefit in gameplay. No increase in our frame rates. Looks like Inno3D already found the sweet spot. Conclusion There isn't much left for me to say other than the GeForce 8800 GT rocks hard and long. Not only are the performance and image quality top notch but the 8800 GT is a single slot VGA solution with an attractive price tag. That is a statement that can be made about ANY 8800 GT. What Inno3D brings to the table is a card priced $25 to $50 less than the competition with a factory overclock that is completely unmatched by any other NVidia card maker. The 8800 GT is a must have piece of hardware in its own right. Inno3D shines here and separates themselves from the pack with an example that represents THE card to have.
