Inno3D Tornado GeForce FX 5700 Ultra - 128mb

Moving on to a couple of synthetic benches, Code Creatures and Aquamark 3 let's see if a trend develops.

Code creatures will really stress your GPU and system to its limit.  The 5700 Ultra ate the 9600 XT lunch.  Aquamark 3 did not show the same flogging.  In fact, the 9600 XT grabbed a small but significant lead in every run of it.

Time to put the jack on things a bit.  We selected Powerstrip to push things up and see what kind of boost the GPU and memory had to offer.  A quick note on our overclocking.  With the 53.03 drivers and the autodetect opton with the Coolbits registry entry installed, the detected overclocking limit was 563 and 1040 on the core and memory respectively.  This was a disappointment as we could not get the autodetect frequencies to run stable for more than 15 minutes or so.  Backing things off to the point of stability we arrived at 555/1030 on the GPU and memory.  Not a bad overclock at all!  Kudos again to Inno3D's selection of Samsung for its memory chips here.  Let's take our 555/1030 out on the road now.

As the resolution increased so do your gains.  While not a landmark overclocking product, the Inno3D 5700 Ultra does show us it can handle the rodeo burger just fine.  I'm still amazed at running memory frequencies over 1GHz not to mention 1.03GHz.
