by Brian Tiller (11/29/2004)

Introduction

When nVidia first introduced its line of GeForce 6800 graphics cards, my first response was "What about the mid-range cards?" I mean let's face facts, $400 plus smackers for a VGA card would not only put a serious strain on my budget but I would never hear the end of it from my 'better half.' So when nVidia released their 6600 line of cards, I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to get my hands on one to see what was in store for us regular fellas. Inno3D came through in spades with this GeForce 6600GT card in PCI-Express flavor. If Inno3D keeps with the high level of quality and performance they have shown in the past with other products we have reviewed here, we'll be in for a treat.

Specifications:

With all these features, it's not hard to see why the 6600GT might be the mainstream killer that some people are claiming it to be. Of course we're going to find out for ourselves.
