Apevia X-Jupiter G Junior Type Case As we come around to the left side panel we find an oversized window with an included 120mm blue LED fan installed. A silver screen identical to that used on the front bezel acts as a minimalist filter. No large hair balls will get sucked in; everything else however... The X-Jupiter Jr.'s rear wall shows off it's 120mm exhaust fan. This fan is included as standard equipment but is not an LED number. If you look closely at the stamped metal grate you can see that it has mounting holes for a 92 or 80mm fan also. Many all in one water cooling kits come with 80 or 92mm radiator/fan assemblies. The X-Jupiter Jr. is ready for any one of them. The second shot below is of the X-Jupiter's roof where the two USB 2.0 ports, Firewire, mic and speaker out rest. Removing the side panel was no more difficult than unscrewing two thumbscrews. With the panel removed we find a roomy interior with ample work room. This is important to note as the X-Jupiter Jr. does not have a removable motherboard tray. The inside of the rear wall has the 120mm case fan we already noted as well as some tool free expansion slot clips. These are the pivot type fasteners. They work acceptably but never seem to give that locked down feel found with other designs. The expansion slot covers are the larger clip in type that if they are removed, they can be put back in place easily. The 5.25" and 3.5" bays all have tool free drive rail assemblies. Plastic rails that are included in the case's hardware box snap into your drives allowing them to then be locked in place with a pressure slider. This system has been seen before lots of times for good reason, it works well. There are two 3.5" drive racks with each rack being able to accept two drives. The upper rack uses the tool free pressure slider as is the case with the 5.25" bays. The lower rack accepts drives but in a more traditional screw in type manner. The lower rack is removable by way of two Phillips head screws on the side and two on the base. With these removed you not only have access to your HDDs but you also gain access to the optional 120mm case fan.
