Apevia X-Jupiter G Junior Type Case

Just a quick shot of the X-Jupiter Jr.'s wiring.  The two black long lines in the center are the thermal probes that are displayed on the LCD on the front bezel.  The probe tips are the thin tipped variety which allows easy mounting to most points you could think of.

Installation/Operation

Installing a barebones system we didn't run into any snags in the least.  The lack of a removable motherboard tray didn't hamper us in any way.  With the larger window, hiding cables was much more of a chore than usual - one in which I gave up on.  (Hence no lighted pics of my embarrassingly haphazard wire job.)  Under power the side mounted 120mm LED  fan and Apevia branding on the front bezel gave off a tastefully soft glow.  Too much light is bad and too little is a waste of time.  Apevia seems to have just the right balance if perhaps a tad on the dim side.

The bezel's LCD shows off system temperature and has probe one labeled as 'CPU' and probe two labeled as 'HDD'.  This I'm not happy about as I like to have a case temperature or GPU reading myself.  You can put the probes where ever you like, but the CPU and HDD labeling is for keeps.

Conclusion

There are a number of cases out that are aimed at the $75 market.  Enough cases that competition is tight in this arena.  The Apevia X-Jupiter Jr. does an outstanding job of holding its own here.  The only points we rated as cons were more subjective nuisance than anything else.  The pros on the other hand are a laundry list of what to have and what to do in order to make a case right.  Apevia's cost conscious X-Jupiter Jr. is a fine example of how to get the most for your case upgrade dollar.  A suggestion I'd offer to anyone looking to upgrade with this case would be to opt for the optional front intake fan as this will keep your HDD temperatures down.  Thanks again to Apevia for sponsoring this review.
