Enermax CS-56881LBFS Case

Manufacturer: Enermax
Supplied by: Maxpoint

By Dean Barker (8/03/2003)

Introduction

Manufacture of computer cases is nothing new to Enermax.  Several designs have been brought to the market with varying degrees of success.  Most of these designs we are familiar with are the CS-5190 type.  There are the jobs that resemble something out of the droid auction from the original Star Wars movie.  More recently, Enermax has put out some more traditional type cases looking for a broader appeal in the computer chassis market.  Today we are fortunate enough to have a look at the CS-5688 case.  We want to extend our thanks to Maxpoint for making this review possible.

For the most part, if you wanted a colored case you didn’t have many choices outside of the Chenming style boxes.  The Enermax CS-5688 is offered in four colors; blue, green, silver and yellow.  Our test box here obviously is the yellow model.  The yellow paint is layered onto the steel frame of the 5688.  The front bezel is the only part of this box that is constructed out of aluminum.
