Lian Li PC-6089A Aluminum Case Another notable is just below the indicator lights. The switch there is a control for your two 80mm intake fans. You have three settings to choose from. Now the more astute of you will have already noticed that the intake vent holes typical in the Lian Li's front bezel are gone. You have to be able to draw air in from somewhere so Lian Li went with more traditional venting placement. On the underside of the case you can see you air intake placed just like any computer show $30 case. What is different here is that this vent is filtered. By removing two thumb screws you gain access to the filter that you can blow out and reinstall in seconds. Up top on the 6089A is an 80mm blowhole. Heat rises so this vent helps it do so, right on up and out of the box. Moving to the case rear, we see another 80mm vent. Lian Li obviously takes air flow seriously. With most other high end cases, no power supply unit is included. This one is no different. On the upside, you do get thumbscrews galore. Can a case ever be considered trendy without a window? I think not. The window looked very unusual until we removed the protective aluminum plate from the interior of the window pane. The pane was a little confusing. For starters... why? Why is there an aluminum cover on the inside of the window? For whatever reason, it is removed by taking loose four screws to release the holders. You do need to screw some nuts (included) onto the screws following the removal of aluminum guard holders. The window had squares etched whose size decreased the farther from the edge they got on it. My first impressions of this is yuk. But let's keep the jury out until we get some artificial light behind that window.
