by Jeremy Lawrence (8/31/2005)

Introduction

In the world of hi-end cases, there is one name that stands out above the rest, Lian-Li.  These cases historically come with every feature imaginable as well as having top quality design and manufacture.  Because they tend to hold their position well at the top of the high end case market, I’m really looking forward to getting to see for myself what this company holds in store.  Before we get too far I do want to thank JCL Company Ltd and Silver PCs for making this review possible.

First Observations

The first thing that really grabbed my attention about this case was the size.  I had to put it in the trunk of my car so that I could bring it home from my office.  Granted, I drive a relatively small car (Acura Integra LS 3 door), but this case fit snugly in the trunk.  In fact, it was secure enough in the now very cramped interior of my car that I had no worries about it sliding around and getting damaged.

I’ve never had a chance to see a Lian-Li case before, let alone work with one.  I’m really looking forward to this.  I’m a little nervous about taking it out of the box just because of this sheer size.  Check it out next to a DVD stand to see just how tall it is.
