Lian Li PC-777 Aluminum Case by Dean Barker (10/21/2005) Introduction The field of computer case manufacturers is broad to say the least. Out of all these manufacturers, one name rises above the rest and is the yard stick to which other computer chassis makers are measured against. That very recognizable name is Lian Li. To celebrate being in business for over 20 years as well as their market position as number one, Lian Li has released an anniversary edition case. This case is meant to celebrate Lian Li's legacy of quality and innovation. How better to do this than with something quite out of the norm. The Lian Li PC-777 anniversary case is a full server sized chassis shaped with a conch shell type swirl with mesh covered side panels bearing out its design all the more. The people from JCL Company Ltd and Silver PCs have been good enough to hook us up with Lian Li's anniversary creation so we can have a good through look. Without further delay, let's do just that. Specifications
Never seen this conch on the beach The Lian Li PC-777 as you saw in the specs above is offered in a silver or black anodized color scheme. Our review sample is of the black variety which really blends together some of the features we'll soon show you. The case itself measures just shy of 650mm tall so it is not going to be something you will be hauling to a LAN every weekend. In spite of it's large size, it surprisingly tipped the scale at a very reasonable 10.2 kilos. |
