NZXT Lexa Case Manufacturer: NZXT by: Brian Tiller (4/13/2006)
Introduction It's very rare that I will actually request a specific piece of hardware to review. The biggest reason for this is I don't want to have any pre-conceptions to cloud my thoughts and influence the objectiveness of the review. But I've seen several NZXT cases reviewed at different sites for the past year and they've all been favorably received; so when NZXT brought out the Lexa I was extremely intrigued by the design and features that I had seen other reviewers take note on. After a while I decided that I wanted to see this case for myself. A big thinks goes out to NZXT for sponsoring this review. NZXT was founded in 2004 and built upon, as they put it, "gamers dreams". To date, they've released five different lines of cases as well as a couple of power supplies and have had good success with their products. The Lexa is the latest in their lineup of cases so let's get down to the specifications before we go any further. Specifications:
That's quite a bit to take in all at once. Just from the observed specs, the Lexa has a lot to offer both gamers and non-gamers alike. At just over 5kg, this is one of the lightest cases that we have reviewed here. Our observed dimensions and weight of the case differed slightly from what NZXT has posted on their website. While most of the reviews I've seen have just reposted what is on the website, we like to give you our observations. The dimensions are all measured at the widest/longest/deepest portions of the case. For the observed weight, we use a calibrated scale and place only the case itself on the scale with none of the extras. |
