NZXT Lexa Case

The exterior access ports for the USB/audio/FireWire are located on the side of the front bezel. While it might be better to place these at the top of the case, they are still easily accessible.

A quick shot at the top of the case reveals the top mounted exhaust fan. Placing a fan at the top of the case will definitely help with the cooling.

The Lexa can be purchased with or without the windowed side panel. Our sample came with the window. The window is large enough to satisfy all but the most voyeuristic of you out there. Trimmed in faux chrome it really helps to accent the looks of the case. Just above the included blue LED fan is the panel lock and latch. Now don't be like me and try to pull the latch out for the first 20 minutes before realizing that the latch is meant to be pushed to the front of the case to remove it.

Now that I've figured out how to open the side panel, let's take a look inside. After the accessories box and the carrying bag were pulled out, the inside of the case turned out to be quite neat and orderly. NZXT kept all the wires tied together for shipping, a very nice touch.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the NZXT's forethought in the design of this case when I looked at the bottom. They included an 80mm filter covered vent at the bottom of the case for air intake. Located directly under the top mounted exhaust fan, this will help provide a cool air intake without all the dust. And if you think more airflow is necessary, it would be relatively easy to mount a fan here.
