Sunbeam Transformer Case by Dean Barker (2/19/2005)
Introduction Sunbeam Technology is a familiar name to many of us. In operation since 2000, they originally gained their reputation through the manufacture of case lighting devices. Since then, they have grown through their ongoing success and now produce computer cases, fans, a huge variety of lighting solutions, grills, Baybus units, lighted case handles and other specialty items. With that said, you can see they are no stranger to thinking outside the box when need be. As far as new case designs go, thinking outside the box is essential to remain competitive. Sunbeam has done this with their Transformer case design. A mix of basic features and a very unique design, the Sunbeam Transformer is sure to attract a following in those looking for something different yet fully functional. Today, we have Sunbeam's Transformer case on the bench so we can pick over and through it to see what's what. Before we continue, we wish to extend our gratitude to Sunbeam Technology for making this review possible. Let's dive right in with the white paper specs. Specifications
A look around The Sunbeam Transformer case is offered in two color schemes, black and blue. Our test unit is the black model accented with a white louvered front grill. Measuring a full 540mm tall and over 12kg in weight, the Transformer is no small box. Its design is quite distinctive with the center of the front bezel molded so that it extends out almost like that of an ice breaker ship in the North Atlantic. |
