Thermaltake Bach VX Case

The front of the Bach VX is rather interesting. While at first glance it seems pretty ordinary, it also has a rather classic look to it. The top of the case looks like it has a door to it with the drive bays cutout, but that's not the case here. The design is on purpose, recessing the 5.25" drive bays.

Another note about the drive bays is that the covers are designed to be stealthy. You can recess your optical drive in the case with out removing the front bay covers. Hence, your white optical drive can still be used without clashing with the case. The bottom half of the front bezel has the power and HDD lights as well as the "Bach VX" name stamped on it.

There are two notables on the side of this case. The first of which is the lock located there to lock the front bezel. At the bottom are the vents for the front intake fan. By locating these on the sides of the case, Thermaltake has kept the front clean and smooth looking.

In the specs that I listed, I noted that the Bach VX has a swing out front bezel. The lock on the side keeps the front bezel in place, and by unlocking this you are able to open the front bezel of the case like any ordinary door.

Not only does it make it easy to install drives, but very easy to clean the filter which covers the front intake fan. Another thing to note is that those stealthy drive bay covers are removable.

Thermaltake shipped us the Back VX VF4000BWS which is the model with the windowed side panel.

The window has an 80mm mesh grill directly above where the processor will go which allows for an optional fan to be installed.

Like most of their recent cases, Thermaltake positioned the external access ports on the top of the case. Depending on your individual PC setup at your desk or work area, this makes the ports either really easy to get to or next to impossible.

Not only do we have the requisite USB and audio ports, but also an External SATA port as well.
