Thermaltake Armor VA8000 Armor Case

As we noted before, the VA8000 uses two rear mounted fans for exhaust. One of these is located directly above the expansion card slots.

Use of a 120mm fan here will not only help airflow, but keep the noise to a minimum. Not to mention that it's blue LED-ness should add some flair once it's running.

At the top of the case, are the PSU area and one of the HDD cages. That's right, Thermaltake has included a HDD cage directly above where the motherboard sits and beside the PSU area.

The HDD cage is completely removable by way of one of those very large thumb (hand) screws. If you're asking yourself why there is a HDD cage up here, remember that this case can be upgraded to accept BTX motherboards when they become available. And the second rear exhaust fan sits directly behind the HDD cage, which will help to keep your drives nice and cool.

PSU mounting is relative simple even with it being oriented differently.

All you have to do is turn the power supply on edge, and slide it along the brackets until it is snug against the rear plate.

Moving our camera to the top of the case shows us the where the access ports for the USB/FireWire/Audio are as well as the ventilation scheme from the inside.

For added airflow, Thermaltake has included another 90mm with the cases accessories. Already in it's mounting cage, the fan very simple to install.
