Thermaltake Xaser II Plus Aluminum Case At the very top of the front bezel is the new Hardcano 7. The Hardcano 7 differs from earlier models in that in place of a 40mm fan you have a Firewire and two USB ports. The utility of the Firewire is questionable but the USB is a welcome addition. The three position switch to the left can be used to control about any fan you want by putting this switch somewhere between the fan you want to control and the power supply. Pretty handy if you aren't fragging yourself silly and don't need that Delta running at full honk. The LED temperature display has the now famous thin lead probe Tt has shifted to. The probe wires are so thin you can thread then between a CPU pins and the mating socket. Don't want anyone messing with your box? One benefit of the bezel door is the lock that restricts access to the drives and most importantly the power button. Handy if you have small adventurous kids in the house (like me.) The Xaser II Plus comes in one of three styles; windowless, big window (like below) or a smaller window. Here is a link to what all three look like beside one another. The Tt logo is prominently placed on the top right of the window. Looking again at the side panel, two features stand out. The first is a lockable latch to open and close the side panel. These panels do not slide on and off but rather open as if on hinges. Also visible is the first of several case fans. At first glance, the orange fan housing made me think these were the second generation smart fans. Unfortunately, they are not. But there are a total of five of these cool looking orange 80 x 80 x 25mm case fans within the Xaser. This side panel mounted blow hole is set up to blow air into the case.
