Xoxide X-Elite Case

At the bottom of the front bezel are the power, reset and hard drive activity lamp.  The oversized square recessed area you see behind the teardrop illuminates as your power lamp.  What is interesting about this, is that the LED that lights this area is a color switching number.  Meaning the light changes between white, red, green, blue, yellow, teal, and violet.  The change is a soft transition which adds quite a bit to the effect.  At the very bottom of the front bezel is a small door that hides two USB and one Firewire port.  The Xoxide X-Elite is the same basic case as the X-Turbine.  Unfortunately, the Firewire pass through cable isn't removed from the case as easily as in the X-Turbine.  On the flip side of the front port coin, the USB connection wires are bound so you aren't connecting nine individual wires with a pair of tweezers to get your USB up and running.

Moving to the left side panel a side mounted blowhole is centered in a large square window.  Xoxide choose to go with a custom "Biohazard" grill over the traditional finger guard.  This is the first time I have seen one of these custom guards and they do add a lot to a case's look.  The case fan beneath it, is a tri-lighted blue LED fan.  Along the top most edge of each side panel, is a series of slits that will help to a small degree with airflow.

Looking at the back of the case, we see two 80mm blowholes.  Air flow will not be a problem with this case.  You can also see the Firewire pass through cable coming out the bottom most expansion slot.  Thumb screws hold both side panels in place.

Like most Xoxide signature cases, the X-Elite sports the Xoxide logo that is impressed on the right side panel.

Windows abound!  The case top is also windowed.  This window is broken up by an 'X' shape.  At the center of this 'X' is a second tri-lighted LED case fan with the "Biohazard" grill.
