Introduction

One of my favorite things to play with are PC cases.  Over the past few years we have done a good number of case reviews and seen lots of good and lots of not so good.  There have been several cases that really stand out in my mind as being full featured worthy of your hard earned jack.  Several of these cases that standout in my mind have been based around the Chenming (aka Chieftec, aka Antec) style case.  This time around, Aspire takes a proven design and puts some subtle and some not so subtle changes in place to create their X-SuperAlien.  Today, courtesy of AspireUSA we have one of these cases on deck to see what’s what.  Let’s start things off with a look at the specs.

Specifications

  • Size: Oversized Mid-tower

  • Construction: Aluminum / ABS Plastic

  • Observed weight: 5.9kg (w/o PSU)

The first thing that grabs your attention about the X-SuperAlien is its color.  The case is offered in red, yellow, blue, black, silver and green.  The paint job that Aspire has done here is excellent.
