Kingwin AquaStar AS3000 Liquid Cooling Kit

Also included are processor mounting clips for most all current processors to include Intel's LGA775, P4 478, P3, AMD K7 and K8 socketed boards.  VGA hardware isn't left out either.  Mounting clips for the most all ATi and NVidia video cards are included, in addition to a specialty mounting clip for the NVidia GeForce 6800.  What is really nice is the processor mounting clips.  No individual screws to deal with on the AquaStar.  Check out the brackets with the screws attached that slip up through your mainboard in one easy stroke.  Very very nice!

Here are a few shots of the sensors, 15-pin multifunction power cables and the included hosing.  The multifunction power cable splits when installed to provide four connection points; one for power in from the system, one for the included thermal probe, one for the included sound level probe and one to power a fan from the unit if you so choose.  The hose ends are capped with screw type ends making connection a breeze.  Cutting the hoses to custom length is simple and the screw ends can be reattached and locked in with a small C clip.  I wish all water cooler kits used these screw type connections.

The unit

The Kingwin AquaStar central unit differs from the other all-in-one central unit water coolers you have seen before.  It is designed so to give you the choice of mounting it into two open 5.25” bays in a case or as a stand alone external unit.  Its aluminum construction makes it both sturdy and aesthetically appealing.

The front bezel is dominated by a metal grating of sorts covering an 80mm blue LED intake fan.  Immediately next to the intake is a small control panel.  A large circular LCD screen for displaying functions and system status is positioned over a fan speed control knob and some other multifunction buttons which we will cover in detail later.
