Thermaltake Blue Orb II The first thing that we get a good look at is the heatsink and fan. You can see why it's called the Blue Orb. This is an awesome color that they chose, in my opinion. You notice that the the fan sits down inside the aluminum fins. It should also help this cooler fit in most systems where height could be a concern. Mounted on the fan assembly is a blue LED showing off the insides of any case. As you can see, the Thermaltake Blue Orb II is mounted to the motherboard using two tension screws. The first time that I got to use these, I wasn't very confident about their holding ability, but they have always proven to be very solid and stable, providing a good firm hold. Gaps in the fins of the heatsink allow easy access to the mounting screws. Those of you who have experience with LGA775 processors know that there are four screw holes in the motherboard, and may be wondering how to secure the cooler. I'll go into a bit more detail later, but the provided mounting bracket, mounts on top of the motherboard with the two screws attaching to these arms allowing the Blue Orb II to be secured. The next thing that really caught my eye was the finish on the copper base. I've never seen a finish so smooth and polished. I don't think even the picture does it much justice.
