Thermaltake
AquaBay M4 Hard Drive Water Block Top view of the Thermaltake AquaBay M4 HDD Cooler. Installation Mounting a drive in the AquaBay was fairly simple. To ensure that no metal contacts the circuit board at the base of the hard drive, a square moldable gasket is mounted. The end user needs to cut a small semi circle out of one end so it will fit around the drive's central bearing as shown below. You then take the cut out and mount it over the bearing to ensure contact between it and the heat plate. A second gasket is include which helps with vibration from the drive as well as building up the underside surface so that your contact point between the plate and the drive is as large as possible. Mounting any add on water cooling component into a live system can be tedious. We choose to try the AquaBay M4 HDD Cooler out in our Thermaltake Tai Chi Water Cooled Case, which by the way is the best all inclusive water cooled case without exception anywhere at any price. (aka I REALLY like this case.) The hose connectors allowed us to quickly mount the HDD cooler in the system without any problems. |
