Thermaltake Silent Boost Cooler Before I go on to the temp results let me just say that your system hardware configuration, room temp, and the location of your computer all play important roles in your results. Almost no two computers systems will get exactly the same results. The results you get with this cooler may be higher or lower than what we got depending on the factors listed above. The computer room temperature was 23ºC. The heatsink was compared to an SLK-800 with an 80mm Vantec Tornado fan. Idle temps were taken by booting the computer and letting it sit for 30 minutes.
Load temps were taken by running SiSoft Sandra's Burn-In continuously for 30 minutes.
Conclusion:
So, does anyone else sense a battle brewing between Thermaltake and Zalman? I was impressed with this heatsink, it performed better than expected. It's surprising that a heatsink as silent as it is can almost compare the the SLK-800 with a fan on it that is as loud as a jet plane. Thermaltake has done an extremely good job on designing this heatsink. They live up their statements as this heatsink is indeed high performance and silent. Nice job Thermaltake!
