Thermaltake
Symphony Mini Water Cooling Kit
Conclusion Shortening the Symphony went a long way in making it more manageable while keeping it big enough that it will always be a topic of conversation should you have guests. It was quite nice to see that the reduction of fans and radiator size didn't hurt the phenomenal performance of the Symphony Mini either. The full size five fan Symphony was already ultra quiet; what do you call 3/5 of ultra quiet? Double secret ultra quiet? You get the point though. The Thermaltake Symphony Mini brings great performance in raw cooling power and silent operation to market and couples it with attention grabbing looks. The quick connect hoses, traditional 'H' water block bracket with near universal application, high radiator capacity; the list goes on and on. One last that bears repeating; don't forget that Thermaltake feels so confident in their quick connect hose lines that they ship the Symphony Mini already full of coolant.
The only real downside of the Mini will be
price. The MSRP of the Tt Symphony Mini has yet to be released but I
wouldn't expect it to be cheap. That and what will shipping costs will be if
Joe User buys this online? Keep in mind however that top shelf performance never
comes at bargain basement prices. However, taking these two variables out of the equation leaves
absolutely no reason why if you want to get into some big league pre-packaged uber cooling, the Symphony Mini is it.
Don't forget that the
Symphony has an aesthetic style that blends into an entertainment center (a la
HTPC) that its competitors can only dream of.
