Thermaltake Tribe
Water Cooling Kit I've never had the opportunity before now to work with a water cooling kit. From what I've heard, the majority of kits on the market are easy to install, but I was still a bit skeptical. The installation of the Tt Tribe was VERY easy and required very little effort. The installation did require me to remove the motherboard from the case. The previous back-plate had to be removed to allow the Tribe's H-bracket to be attached to the back of the motherboard. There was a Styrofoam backing, as well as black rubber insulator to place between the metal back-bracket and the motherboard to prevent electrical shorts of any type. Two bolts are pushed through the H-bracket holding it onto the motherboard. On the other side, the block is attached to the motherboard using nuts attaching the bolts to the motherboard with another H-bracket clamping down on the water block. These nuts can be tightened as much as necessary to hold the water block securely in place on the motherboard. Once installed in the system, the water block takes up very little space, and leaves plenty of room for the hoses to run, extra fans to be added and doesn't block any of the other components at all. Under Power Now that we've got the tribe installed, the hoses were easily secured to the water block. The reservoir was filled up, and the system was powered up. The hoses filled up, emptying the reservoir almost completely. I had to refill it to keep enough coolant in the system for it to do any good. Once powered up, the Tribe's water block and hosing with the UV reactive coolant looked sweet!
