Corsair TwinX 1024-3200XL Pro

The sheer size of these things surprised me. Compared to the standard PC3200 that I've been using, they're monsters. This is where the activity LED's on the heatspreaders come in.

There are two rows of nine LED's each, for a total of 18. The LED's light up in concert with the usage of the memory, which is pretty cool.

Each heatspreader has, on one side, the "XMS" molded into the heatspreader with Corsair's Pro Series sticker.

On the opposite side, is a small holographic sticker with the speed rating and memory size of that specific stick. Personally, I think these are pretty cool looking.

And speaking of cool, you just know I had to get you a picture of those LED's all lit up.

Well, now it's time to see if those low latencies actually do their job. We're going to plug these modules in our test bed and put the screws to them.

Test Bed

  • ABIT IC7-Max3 Motherboard

  • Intel P4 2.4GHz 'C' processor

  • Chaintech FX5700 Ultra

  • Maxtor 30GB HDD

  • Lite-On DVD/CDRW

  • Dr. Thermal TI-RV108N Heatsink

If you'll turn the page, we can get right to our benchmark results.
