Mushkin PC3200 LII V2 Enhanced Memory Pump up the volume Running an identical bus and timing both the Mushkin and Corsair show themselves to be top tier players. In the next two graphs we show the max speed each DIMM was capable of while still holding the tight timings. Voltage was bumped up as we went until he hit the wall. As you will see, there was some minimal difference between test rigs, emphasis on minimal.
It was a bit disappointing to see that the Mushkin hit the wall at 210 and 211MHz on our AMD and Intel beds respectively. The ICs are the same, so I am at a loss to explain this. Let me make a point quickly that 210MHz at 2-2-2-5 is FAR from slow. The factory timing and speed of the Mushkin unit alone set it on a level not many memory makers venture to. Floor it Slim! The Samsung chips used in the Mushkin PC3200 LII V2 are DDR500 chips. The ICs are designed to hit DDR500 but at CAS3. Surprisingly, the max speed of the Mushkin at 3-4-4-8 was also reached at 2.5-4-4-8.
