AOpen AK89 Max / AK86-L (AMD 64) Mainboard

Aquamark 3 is a benchmark that utilizes DirectX 9 in a beautiful underwater environment.  Tests were run at 1024x768 resolution at 32 bit color depth.  FSAA set to 0 and AF set to 4x.  After averaging the runs the AK86-L inched out its competition.  This is turning into a Ford/Chevy thing I think.

Comanche 4 has been around a while now.  While not a DirectX 9 benchmark it does make excellent use of DirectX 8.  Settings were 1024x768 resolution at 32 bit color depth.  The results show us that we have another flip-flop with who's on top.

Based on the Quake III engine, ID Software's Return to Castle Wolfenstein is becoming dated but remains very popular.  Benchmarks were recorded in OpenGL at 1024x768 with color set to 32 bit.  Advantage, AK89 Max.

Using the Hard|OCP's benchmarking program we ran the Antalus Demo in Direct3D at 1024x768 in low quality setting here.
