AOpen AX4PE Max P4 Mainboard We used SiSoft Sandra to test the memory bandwidth and the file system transfer rates. As you can see, with the DRAM clock set to DDR 333 the memory is doing pretty well. And with the ATA 133 IDE channel we are getting some smokin transfer speeds off our hard drive. The Business Winstone 2001 benchmark keeps with its name and uses a suite of business productivity programs to determine how well a machine can keep up. These programs include Lotus Notes, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Front Page, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project 98, Netscape Communicator, Norton Anti-Virus, and WinZip.
Content Creation basically does the same thing as Business Winstone except that it's focus is primarily the audio/visual components of the system. It uses Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Macromedia Director, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Media Encoder, Netscape Navigator, and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge as it's stress test.
Next we move on to Mad Onion's 3D Mark 2001 for it's stress testing using a collection of Direct X 8.1 operations.
