AOpen i945Ga-PHS Dual Core Motherboard

BIOS

As always, AOpen's BIOS is pretty easy to navigate and understand. Let's take a look at the main menu setup before we head to the good stuff.

The first of the good stuff can be found under the 'Advanced Chipset Features' menu. After all, this is where we find no only our memory options, but some onboard video stuff as well.

In addition to being able to adjust the timings, you can also select the memory speed of 'Auto', '533', or '667'. And at the bottom, you can see a few limited options if you're using the onboard video.

Next stop is the 'Frequency/Voltage Control' menu. Here's where we can get down to the nitty-gritty. We can adjust the CPU bus frequency in 1MHz increments up to 400, and you just know we're going to find out what's under the hood of this thing.

And then we can also pump up the juice to the CPU, memory and chipsets as well.

AOpen's Power Master feature is a nice auto-overclocking (or underclocking) feature.

By choosing your setting, the motherboard automatically adjusts to the load you're putting on it.
