AOpen i945Pa-PLF Black Limited Manufacturer: AOpen by Brian Tiller (9/07/2005)
Introduction There are quite a few people out there who know a bit more about computers than I do. I've been around for a while and have seen PCs evolve significantly. From their most humble beginnings to those uber-fast gaming monsters that we'd all like to have. One of the most exciting things is the development of new technologies and getting to see how different manufacturers implement them. One of the 'new' developments recently has been the dual-core CPU. We've gone a couple of rounds with some offerings from Foxconn and today our the folks at AOpen are here to strut their stuff. The AOpen i945Pa-PLF is based around Intel's 945P chipset supporting DDR2 and PCI-Express. AOpen has also added a few personal touches as well. One of these comes with the moniker "Black Limited." This refers to the black PCB that is backing the board as well as their Power Master feature. Let's grab a look at the specs posted on their website before we get ahead of ourselves though. Specifications:
There's quite a bit of stuff to this board, but
unfortunately there is no RAID support. |
