Foxconn Intel Dual Core Motherboard Roundup Manufacturer: Foxconn by Brian Tiller (8/01/05)
Introduction Both Intel and AMD have released their dual-core CPU's. Motherboard manufacturers have been hot to jump on the wagon and offer their latest and greatest new technology to the masses. Intel's dual-core chipsets are the 945 and 955, and like previous naming schemes, the 955 is going to be geared toward enthusiast. Today, thanks to the generous folks at Foxconn, we have a trio of dual-core motherboards to salivate over. With two of the motherboards based around the 945 chipset and one around the 955 chipset, we've got something here to fit most anyone out there looking for the cutting edge. The two 945 based boards are the 945G7MA from their 'Compete' series and the 945P7AA from the 'Intense' series lineup. While both boards are have the 945 at their base, the 945G7MA has the added benefit of onboard video. The third board is the top dawg big daddy. Based on the 955 chipset, Foxconn's 955X7AA has everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. Let's take a quick look at the specs of these three boards before we get down to business. Specifications
