VIA KT400 Based Mainboard Roundup
ABIT KD7-G Another note about the SATA 150 is that it can be set up to run as RAID 0 or 1. BIOS ABIT's uses the Phoenix BIOS for the KD7-G. Within the BIOS is the famous Soft Menu III that allows you access and options for tweaking about any feature remotely needed for overclocking. Multiplier adjustments range from 5 to 22.5 and a CPU FSB range of 100 to 250MHz in one MHz increments. Three options are also available for your FSB/AGP/PCI ratios. A 3:2:1, 4:2:1, and a 5:2:1 choice is here so you can keep your AGP and PCI bus speeds under control and as close to their respective speed as possible. Voltage adjustments are offered from 1.1V up to a shockingly high 2.325 volts. WOW! Want to tweak out your memory? Be my guest, everything is here and tweakable. Memory voltage adjustments from 2.55v to 3.25 volts are here for you to use and abuse. Here is a quick shot of the PC Health Status screen. Overview
ABIT aims to please with the KD7-G. Several high
performance features spell out why ABIT has always been a favorite in
the overclocking community. Soft Menu III, five fan headers, active
Northbridge cooling, four DIMM slots etc. I think the SATA
converter is a feature that will surprise many with its usefulness.
It is the sort of thing that if you HAVE to put in another drive and
don't have an SATA150 unit laying around, you are covered. Don't
forget about the SATA150 RAID either. The
Broadcom Ethernet controller allowing for 10/100/1000 MB data transfers
doesn't hurt ABIT's high performance rep either.
