OCZ Slick Pad

Conclusion

The OCZ Slick Pad is very nice.  The only thing holding it back from being a GREAT pad instead of a very good one is the damned feet it has.  Not enough of them and too tall.  This is easily enough fixed at home but it is also easily enough fixed at the manufacturer level.  All it needs is some more feet at the base where your wrist lies and in the center.  I'd be willing to bet that by the time these pads come to market in mass this issue will most certainly have been addressed and fixed.  I'm not going to comment on if I prefer the texture or the smooth surface better here because it is irrelevant.  It depends entirely on your personal preference.  One thing we didn't mention is that $6.99 is a great price for a pad like this.  Overall it is an extremely nice product but it needs just a little bit of work to make it right.  But that little bit of work will rate the pad as a genuine rocker if you do it!

Pros

  • BIG!

  • Easy to clean

  • Smooth surface

  • Very inexpensive

Cons

  • Those tall feet.

  • Smooth surface.

  • Those few feet.
