Ratpadz Mouse Surface

Manufacturer: Ratpadz
Price: $14.00

by Dean Barker  (12/28/2000)

There are probably some of you out there who still use an old $.99 cloth mouse pad you got from Staples.  All I can say is if that is you, you don't want to get into a Rail Gun fest with me!

Seriously, this thing is awesome.  You know why?  Because one of us overclocker, gamer types developed it; Kyle Bennett of the [H]ard|OCP.  What we liked about it here is how big this thing is.  The dimensions are 8.5 inches by 11.5 inches.  Talk about mouse look.  All you StarCraft junkies out there will never run out of mouse space going from one side of the map to another.  Check out the pic below.

Notice how all the edges are beveled down?  It looks comfortable because it is.  Also check out the easy curve so you can pivot at the elbow without bumping things around.  And while we are on the subject of bumping things around; you know how your normal everyday mouse pad slides around a bit on your desk in a very annoying fashion?  Not this pup.  Check it out, that's NINE, count em', nine rubber stays on the base.  This thing isn't going to slide.

This is one of those purchases you don't regret.  How many regular mouse pads have you gone through in the past two years?  Do they get dirty?  Do they gum up your mouse?  This is the last mousepad you will ever need.  It doesn't wear out, hell it's damn near indestructible.  I think the Crocodile Hunter keeps one for self defense!  If it gets dirty, wipe it off.  No fraying edges to look forward to.

In a nutshell; the Ratpad is a must have.  It will be with you through your next ten PC's.
