Kingwin Mach 1 Power Supply (600w)

Examination of the inner plug side shows us six circular caps.  Each cap covers a modular plug connection.  The top three plugs in the second pic below are specifically for the PSUs Molex power cables.  On the row below these, the first two starting from the left, are for SATA with the third being PCI-E.  Let's look a bit more closely at these cables.

The modular lines have their respective Molex, SATA and PCI-E connectors on one end with a rounded screw lock plug on the other.  The lines are all sheathed in a black with yellow braid in a tighter covering not normally seen elsewhere.  Black shrink wrap adorns all the braiding breaks with the Molex connectors being of the EZ-Grip variety.

Here's a quick breakdown of each line and what it has on it.

  • (1) 24-pin ATX power connector measuring 16"

  • (1) 8 + 4-pin 12v AUX power connector measuring 15" to 8-pin and 21" to 4-pin

  • (1) PCI-E rail with two 6-Pin connectors measuring 21"

  • (1) SATA line with three connectors measuring 23"

  • (2) Molex line with three 4-pin Molex and one FDD connector measuring 34"

  • (1) Molex line with three 4-pin Molex connectors measuring 29"

One thing the more astute of you will have noticed so far is that we have five modular lines and six circular plug ins.  The extra plug in is for a SATA cable that should be available as an extra later.  Too bad it wasn't included.

Performance

At the heart of all these features is clean stable power.  To this end, testing on the Kingwin Mach 1 power supply was done by confirming the voltages over time, on each of the rails, so as to confirm power delivery under load via a handheld Multimeter.
