Introduction

Just when you thought you had seen everything...  Try a 1" thick aquarium side panel for your case.  This will be a new one on the guys at your next LAN party, that is for sure.  Without further delay, lets look it over.  Big thanks to Lian Li for making this review possible.

Right from the get-go, this review turned out to be the most fun I've had with a review in a while.  My two kids had to come and watch me, to see how I was going to "make fish appear."  I was expecting at any minute one or both of them to go and get a fishing rod.

The Aquarium panel is designed for Lian Li PC-6x cases only.  Which is a drag if you don't have a PC-6x.  The entire fish idea is such a good one, that I fully expect to see some of copy cat units at some point in the near future.  Let's take a look at what's in the box.

Included in the kit is the aquarium side panel, instructions, an air pump, a cold cathode, selector switch mounted in an expansion cover plate, aluminum pump/cathode mounting bracket, fish, green plastic gravel.  No water was not included.  ;-)

The kit comes in two flavors: green and blue.  Our test unit came with the green cold cathode.  I'm assuming that is a sea green.  The cold cathode had a three position switch that conveniently mounts in the case rear expansion slot so you can turn the unit off/on with ease.  There is a third position we hope to find out what it does when we put power to the unit.
