Introduction

OCZ Technology has built its reputation on memory products for a number of years.  High capacity units with speed in mind.  Products for portable storage as well as system memory upgrades have both seen innovative advancements.  One of OCZ's latest units to show off their innovation is the Ralley2 Turbo Flash Drive.  This sleek black aluminum unit brags on speed; "blazing speed" to quote OCZ exactly.  Today, the folks at OCZ Technology have sent over one of these drives for us to have a first hand look at, so let's do.

The Unit

Most flash drives come in bubble packs with nothing else.  OCZ includes with the Rally2 Turbo drive a webbing neck strap allowing the end user to wear the Rally2 Turbo around their neck in addition to a 24" USB extension cable.  As far as the extension cable is concerned, don't sell its usefulness short.  How many times have you pulled a muscle reaching behind a case?  I've pulled more than a few over the years.

The OCZ Rally2 Turbo is encased in a sleek black anodized aluminum housing.  OCZ's company logo is printed in white on one side with the item's description on the other.  The butt end where the orange activity light is, has the drive's capacity printed on it; either four or eight gigabytes.  Enough room for one or two shows recorded from your HTPC.  Our test unit as you can see below, is a 4GB model.
