Introduction

Competition within the field of power supply makers has really been heating up.  Most makers are producing increasingly higher wattage power supply units.  This and their throwing in a few extras to give themselves an edge.  Who would have thought a few years ago, Thermaltake would be one of these players.  Their Purepower line has proven to be stable and an excellent choice for Joe Consumer.  Today, we take a look at their newest power supply product, the Purepower Butterfly.  480 watts, sleeved lines and gobs of power connectors, we are expecting to see good things with the Butterfly but it doesn't stop there.  Offered in either a silver or black chassis, the Butterfly brings a lot more than just an LED fan to the table.  Let's have a quick look at the white paper then we'll take a closer look.
